Peter Reitmaier & Heinz von der Sandt founded the Freaks on Snow Tirol e.v. association. We established a competition scene with events such as the 1st Tyrolean Championships and Austrian Team Championships
1989
Establishment of the first club training stations with qualified teachers (Hansjörg Bröderbauer) in Ellmau & (Ralph Kohler) in Söll Tirol
1989
| Expansion to 3 club stations Ellmau – Söll & Glacier Kaunertal region

| Carrying out the first int. Snowboard competitions (International Snowboard Jamboree in Kössen Tirol)
| Establishment of our own Freaks on Snow “FREESTYLE O’NEIL TEAM”,
with our own TEAM BUS sponsored by O’NEIL.

| The station on the Kaunertal Glacier became the leading test center for the industry
and the Kaunertal Glacier became the MECCA for snowboarders.
